Winter Fitness: Tips for Exercising in Cold Weather

The temperatures have dropped and the thought of venturing outside for a run or a walk is becoming less and less appealing. But don’t let the cold weather deter you from staying active – there are plenty of ways to stay fit even when it’s chilly outside.

Lastly, even though you might be tempted to layer up with 3 or 4 sweaters and jackets, opt for quality over quantity when it comes to actual winter coats – go for ones made with down, GoreTex or wool blend fabric. The extra warmth and comfort you gain from investing in high-quality outerwear can make all the difference on blustery days!

Layer your clothing so you can remove layers if you get too warm

While having a sense of humor about cold climates certainly helps, don’t forget how dangerous the consequences can be when we don’t take proper care of ourselves!
